yes mate,its a rat,there were plenty of them running round and we had the red filter as well,only problem was the dog was keen and would not of kept still long enough for us to sit and watch them,going back out there soon with just the gun and lamp so fingers crossed will have a few

hi ian,the one place we been going has a good few rats running round,they are good sport with the airrifle,going to have a sitdown on the lamp soon in the yard on the farm with the lamp and red filter and go for some rats,had another go with my mate and managed 4 bunnys ,1 pigeon and 1 dove

had a hour out in the morning and managed to bag 1 pigeon and a dove,quick walk last night and managed to get a the 1 rabbit,filling the freezer up ready for this years kits,lol

out with a freind who just picked up a daystate,just getting the sights on then he managed to knock down a squirrel at 35 yards,if someone can send me a link,i use image shack and cant get the photo to come any bigger than tthis,any one use any others that are just as easy to use?

went out with wife last night to look at a job on a few rats,only went to take a look at the farm but took the rifle anyway,met the farmer and took a bunny out of his back field and managed to take 2 rats as well,he kindly gave us 2 pheasents as well for the table

sure was a good few rats around the premises,problem is the keeper has a large amount of pheasets running free around the buildings and can only put poison down in certain places,,we were using 4platoon red filter and its variable which gives a bit of a advantage for spotting the rats without spooking them,once you spot a rat from where ever you are the range is only 20 yards max from where we are standing as all the buildings are close together,so the range finder is on its lowest setting and as most know the rats dont keep still for long,at one time we walked round the corner of a old cattle shed and as i put the red filter on starting off very dim we counted 7 rats in front of us,,we did manage to hit another one but it fell down amongst some slurry drains,planning another trip out at the end of the week,,popping out there the day before to put some trays of liquidised food down and to smear some on the walls some 8 inches high where we kept on spotting the rats,at one time there is a huge concrete slab running through the yard and if you kneel down and look up there you can see anything from 3,4 rats only 2,3 feet in front of you,,they just sit in there running the concrete slab knowing they are safe,going to have a bit of sport with the airrifle for 2 weeks and then the keeper will be rounding up what pheasets are left and we hoping to get in there with the russels and he going to pick up the concrete slabs with the forks,should be some fun,roll on this thursday night for some more rats,and i wont be saying no to any more pheasents the keeper offers us,lol
