My mate and me went out today on her permission, the day started off with her dogs on a chase with her lurcher coming back with an injured toe! We netted up three sets but only managed to get 3 and a half rabbits - not for the want of trying VERY hard though. My terrier was on her first ferreting trip and she was as good as gold and seems to be getting the idea that 'Ferrets in = rabbits out' and she was very well behaved around the ferrets so I must be getting there with breaking her to the ferts She watched closely as my mates dogs marked and eventually she started doing the same so Im well chuffed. Here's a few pics of the day we had.

how did you get on when you went ferreting on the dunes?

Saturday at the dunes was an equally great day! A few of the lads from another forum came to give me a hand and I really learned a lot from them. Ive landed myself more ferreting permission down the road from the dunes in a local park where the rabbits are slowly destroying the cenotaph and grass, Im off there on Friday to meet the man in charge and hopefully do a spot of ferreting on saturday morning if you fancy it? Longnets are probably going to be the best bet there as it seems the rabbits are living under the sheds and portacabins. I tried to send you a PM the other day but it wouldnt work?
