today i got given a brand new mentor spinning rod
length 2.40m
casting weight 10-30gms

will this be any good for carp fishing ? it doesnt seem to have much bend in the tip of the rod i think it might snap lol

cant decide if i should go to the free local pond which is abit shallow with only 6 pegs got quite a few big carp in or should i go to the other local pond cost £6 to fish and theres about 50 pegs with loads of carp,pike,tench roach,perch very deep pond been to it 3 times and never caught anything

yer i have to pay to fish to local ponds only a fiver and worth it! i reckon go to the pond thats free nothing to lose then!

its all free here fish where and when you like

i wish it was all free here we can book some of the ponds so its ours for the full day and no one else can fish it but that costs about 40 quid between us
