How is the Geese activity in your area?
Here in Lincolnshire the numbers really seem to be down this year, probs due to the warm weather and westerly winds, shame really i really like goose bashing and the dogs love to fetch them out of the water  |

it would be intresting to know how many their is on their, iwas talking to someone and he rekoned thair was 70 thousand pinks and greys, mostly greysin north east scotland and on the orkneys, its more pest control up their think what damage they would do to the fileds, were going up next year for a week hopefully, i no a few people who go up pigeon shooting over summer and they say geese are still their then, the goose guides up their make a fortune, chariging anything between 50 and 75 a flight and usually take upto 10 guns out thats 750 for a few hours think 6 times a week its robbery really, |

Have been beating at Ormskirk today and there were few thousnad pinks there.
Last week at Southport I saw about 500 greys feeding on the marshside, no sign of pinks but plenty of canadas as usual, but that may be due to the time of day. Thousands of wigeon there though!
cheers
sam :D |
