went out 6 days ago to check out my local permission....i hadnt been up there since way before last autumn... seen quite a few rabbits and decided to come back the following day

so i pumped up the FX took a pocket full of lead and set off...

i got there and set up .... let off a mag to check that im on the ball, with that done i carried on... i got to the part where the rabbits usually hold and would you believe it....some muppet was walking their dog....needless to say i saw bog all...

so i went there the following day and then it decides to absolutely piss down.... but i did manage to see a few still out and about... i came to this little patch where a usual 5 graze but only the one i seen that day so i decided to pop him off....now bare in mind its raining and my boots have no grip at the best of times so on wet grass theres no hope....but i did manage to get within about 20 yards of this rabbit without slipping... i took aim and then bosh... on my arse.... to say the rabbit had a fright is an understatement it bounced about 3 foot in the air giving a display of flips and acrobatics before scuttling off to cover.... so i left it there for the day

it was then raining for another 3 days so i didnt even bother.... on the 6th day was more successful i crept up to the same rabbit and put a well placed shot to its head.... i would have carried on but again that same muppet came over to walk their dogs again....

so i think ill leave it for the summer now where ill get more of a bag

What a day, I had exactly the same type a few weeks ago.
It just reinforces the fact that dogs don't like me, and I definately have no interest in dogs whatsoever. Makes life browsing through the forums a bit quicker.

I just secured some of my own permission, not like the many thousands of acres I "share" with my brother-in-law, where I can only go when he wants to go. I can go when I want, day or night, shooting or netting.

Just thought I'd have a rant - feeling that way inclined at the moment, wrong time of year me thinks.
