Just so you all know....a new law was passed a month back that no air rifles or any other fire arm is to be sold and sent via courier/post .... it has to be done face to face
Thank you all

I agree with the idea.
Also, every airgun/air-rifle/pistol should be licenced. Rather like an amnesty, each one should be logged, having users over the age of 18. |

I don't see why it should be a problem. At the moment it is an offence for an under 18 Yr Old to carry an air weapon in a public place already. Therefore, unless he/she leaves it on the land they are going to shoot on, they will never legally get it there in the first place, therefore breaking the law and they should be punished to the extent that the firearms law states.
Licensing air rifles will only track down the people who sold them in the first place, therefore tracking the culprit will be easier.
Anyone found with an unlicenced/unregistered air weapon should be sentenced.
Registering an air weapon should include a written test from a RFD showing that it is of legal power at the time of issue. The amount of people who increase their power and max out their weapons should also be sentenced, unless an FAC has been granted to the contrary.
There are too many incidents these days that are caused by numpties and air weapons, spoiling it for the rest of us.
Why not register air weapons ?? Has everybody got anything to hide ??? |
