my mates pond didnt have any ducks on it last year due to rats all over the place his fault i think for leaving to much food lying around . put poison down and they dissapeared. but the young ducks were still disapearing and no ducks at all now i went down found the culprit its a mink hows the best way to get rid of it quickly so the ducks can get on with nesting in peace. caught most things but mink is something new.

live catch trap mate, will be only a matter of time before you catch him, they to curious for there own good,a good freind of mine catches alot of them and has one in with his ferrets from last summer,he said he has caught them before and let the terrier kill it when he has tipped it out of the trap and then set the trap with nothing in it baitwise and within days he has had another one in there, never tried to trap them myself but from what he sais and he knows what he is talking about live catch trap will work,he sais herring is one of the best baits, good luck

when i use to do a lot of mink trapping using both fenn mrk 6s and live catch traps i hardly ever baited the traps the best way to catch with any trap is to make it as natural and as dark as possible i use to put the live catch out on the side of the rivers and streams and build them up with stones and rocks to hide it, but dont forget to make sure its attached to something i use to use wire they can make a mess of the doors on the livecatch had to re-straighten them a few times, i rember one trap that that was a bit iffy and everytime i went to it the door was shut so i baited it up and went to check it and still found the door shut and the bait had gone put the ferret in it and it managed to open the door no problem the ones with the springs on the doors are the best well thats what i think good luck in catching your mink

I use tinned cat food smelly type in a wire live trap.
Bait the trap with cat food with door closed for a couple of days then open door use gloves to do this, leaves no scent. They are nosey buggers so in they go.
I caught 36 last year, and made a few bob on the skins aswell. Have caught 7 so far this year.
