We us a larsen for magpie's but for crows we make a ladder trap out of one of the old partridge pens, we can catch loads in that thing. :D

i allways use to hate catching them in the bigger traps, how did you use yours? i turned it upside down and kept putting bread and a few ded birds in and around it then turn it the right way round and bobs your uncle

We just build it mate and throw a dead rabbit and some bread in give it a few days and then watch them start to get trapped :D , a good tip with them is not to empty it to often the more that get in the more that will come.

We do use a ladder trap in a wood that is a rookery, always get good results.
But around the land we now have changed the Larsen traps to double side opening Larsen traps made from weld mesh, excellent results for the last 2 years, alot of Maggie's and carrion, not to mention cats, buzzards, foxes, rats, hedgehogs
The biggest pain is checking every day, luckily my shoot owner likes to go around every day checking them and the funnel traps
