i took my 5 month old lab bramble on a walk today to the forestry commission land near me at stokesley.i did a 15 min stint of training with her she took some settling in because it was a new place and all different from where we normally go.after the training i let her off the lead and have a run and every now and again either call her back or make her sit and wait where she was.then while not watching her she suddenly appeared back to me with a recently deceased squirrel in her mouth.i was plesantly suprised made a big fuss of her and got rid of it as soon as she was'nt looking.we walked so far then turned back because of the light would be fading soon.then she did it again this time she went into a ditch with running water and came out with a soaking wet dead rabbit and she brought it to me,the rabbit was obviously a bit clumsier to carry being bigger and soaking wet but she managed all the same.i was very suprised at this from a dog so young but was also very proud of her.

| well oddly enough i havent taken even 1 pic yet but will try to tomorrow and get them up.as for what im going to do with her,i want to get her to the stage where she is a fully trained gundog retreiver.although i only shoot an air rifle, now both 12ft lbs and fac,i may get a shotgun licence in the future.the place where i shoot is full of rabbits and i can sit in a hide and pop them off and also crow and pigeon. |
